Accepting Non-Acceptance

April 30th, 2009

It’s not always easy to stand in the midst of a group of people (particularly if those people are people that we have known and are attached to emotionally) and be different. To think differently, to believe differently, to respond differently, to live a different life than our friends and our family are living is, in a sense, the “toughest challenge” of manifesting our spiritual self. The threat inherent to this situation is that those we love, those we care about, those we have always depended upon for emotional support and encouragement will turn against us because we no longer follow the same belief system that they do.

In some situations, this fear of un-acceptance is not an invalid one; it is a fear based on a working knowledge and a working understanding of the prevailing philosophy within that group of individuals. If the prevailing philosophy is one which denies all truth except their own, then it is, indeed, a major risk-taking to suggest that another avenue of truth might have some truth within it.

Because the foundation of most individuals who work from a single truth basis - that is, who believe that their truth is the only truth - is based more on an emotional acceptance of the truth as it has been presented through other people than on an inner acceptance that the truth that they profess has been confirmed within their inner self and is, indeed, the truth, these individuals have a tendency to respond to any “different idea,” any “different thought,” from a position of defensiveness.

Defensiveness is not usually manifested as defensiveness. In some cases it is manifested from an authority position in which one individual takes it upon themselves to lecture another individual and tell them “what is truth” and remind them of “what is right and what is wrong.” Sometimes it is manifested as anger: personal insults that come as a result of feeling that their belief system is being questioned or invalidated. Sometimes it is taken as resentment; this resentment is usually much deeper than the individuals involved recognize, for the resentment is not so much for the new chain of thought as it is for the willingness on the part of the other individual to step outside of the confines that have been established through their religious belief system and explore on their own.

While the mouth may profess that this is wrong, the inner self recognizes that this is right, and resents the fact that one individual had the courage to pursue their inner truth while he did not. Anger and sarcasm are often used to manifest a personal power that will enable one individual to manipulate the wandering individual back to where he needs to be according to that first individual’s perception. All of these are very effective tools against “straying from the fold,” but not the MOST effective.

The most effective tool against spiritual growth is guilt. The religious structures of today are based on doctrine that very clearly states “what is right and what is wrong behavior” on the part of the follower; any individual who breaks this code is made to feel guilty, not only on an external level but internally, for his conscious mind has been taught that this is wrong and this is bad, and until the personal growth process has been completed - and all of the elements are in place to support that spiritual exploration - the conscious mind will continue to remind those individuals that they are doing something wrong. The conscious mind will question their faith. The conscious mind will question the goodness of pursuing spiritual truth. The conscious mind will question other issues as well: “If you believe in God, why do you need any other answers? Acceptance is God’s way, and you should simply accept things at face value. That is the true measure of faith in God.”

Faith in God has nothing to do with faith in the ability of mankind as a species to record and maintain the record of God’s relationship with man.

Faith in God has nothing to do with faith in various individuals throughout the ages who have served as God’s emissaries and have taught spiritual learning in a physical existence.

Faith in God is not the same as faith in individuals who chose to follow one or another of these great teachers, and later put their working knowledge of what that individual accomplished into a permanent record, and faith in God has nothing to do with faith in the ability of monks throughout the centuries to translate those original documents so that nothing was lost in the translation, nothing was reinterpreted in the translation, nothing was changed in the translation that might change the entire concept that was being presented.

I would remind you of a basic historical fact, and that is that they had no Bible in Christ’s time. The books of the Bible were written over a period of several centuries by and for the Jewish culture, and were naturally written from a perspective that supported and encouraged the belief system of that culture. The New Testament was written within the first one hundred years after Christ’s death for the purpose of documenting his teachings and for the purpose of explaining those teachings and working with the groups of Christians in various cities to apply those teachings to their day to day lifestyles. These teachings to these groups of Christians are known now as “The Epistles” or “The Letters.” It was never intended by the individuals who wrote those epistles that they should become the framework of religious doctrine.

It was simply a case of the teachers of Christianity trying to make the average person understand how the one on one relationship with God can be integrated into your life, thereby relieving stress and worry. The suggestions as to how that manifestation of belief system on a daily basis might be accomplished were simply that - suggestions.

It was not Jesus Christ who said that women must have their heads covered.

It was not Jesus Christ who said that man should not eat meat on Fridays.

It was teachers who said this, teachers who were attempting to teach the whole - that is, the culture - how to apply spiritual truth to their daily lives, and faith in this particular group of individuals - who combined are the authors of the New Testament - has nothing to do with your level of faith in God.

It must be very clearly understood that God is separate and apart and at the same time is interconnected to every living form in this universe, but that does not make God responsible for Man’s conscious choices in terms of what information to present and how to present it. Men are only men, and no matter how pure their hearts may be, their conscious minds are not, and the emotional and the intellectual and the physical implications of their present moment when they wrote what they wrote - which would later become the New Testament - certainly affected their present moment interpretation of the spiritual knowledge that they contained within their subconscious mind.

There are many great teachings in the Bible, but it should not be taken word for word and applied to one’s daily lifestyle today. It is not the physical acts that the emphasis should be placed on. The question is not how to worship; the question is how to manifest your belief system on a daily basis by applying the principles of that belief system to your day to day lifestyle. The suggestions given in the epistles were appropriate to the lifestyles of the individuals those letters were directed to, but we certainly do not experience the same day to day lifestyle in 1995 in the United States of America that they experienced in Judah in 93 A.D.

The environment is different. The socio-economic position is different. The political situation is different. The degree of man’s awareness is different. The ability of the conscious mind to understand what is happening is different, and these differences must be taken into consideration before one accepts at face value the teachings that were intended for the early churches.

It is the concepts of manifesting the Christian belief system that are important. It is the concepts that must be evaluated and confirmed or denied as part of one’s personal truth, and the physical aspects of how to worship should be translated into terms that are more applicable to today’s lifestyle. Only when this adjustment has been made will one find that the Christian foundation does, indeed, fit their modern day lifestyle.

Impact of Positive and Negative Catalysts on Events in Human Lives

April 30th, 2009

Have you ever noticed what can happen if you just met a friend in the street and shared a cab? You are both in the cab, all is fine, you plan to attend a social function and suddenly your cab gets involved in an accident. The police comes and you are a witness in an unforeseen event. Per chance? Not quite. There might be an explanation.
All people have vibrations emanating from their bodies. Some people have much stronger vibrations than others (as evident in the human aura) while others have energies very focused at a certain point in the human system (physical, mental or spiritual) and of greater strength than most. Such people are instrumental in attracting to themselves events of a positive or negative nature. As in the case of an earthquake that has an epicenter. I term such people as catalysts because that’s what they are.

In history we find examples of positive catalysts like Gandhi, a peace maker and negative catalysts like Hitler, Mussolini or Rasputin who brought down the Romanoff Dynasty by his negative vibrations.

We must never underestimate the influence of such catalysts upon people whose energies are not as focused. You would say “where?”

The concentration of energies may be on money. The result will be extreme events in financial matters. Mr. Greenspan, the Chairman of the Fed can create reverberations in the financial markets of the world by increasing the prime interest rate by 0.25%.

When a catalyst’s energies are focused on the physical plane like sex, the events of a sexual nature in form of sexual perversion may manifest. They may not be evident to the friends or relatives of the person concerned.

The negative catalysts create milestones in the history of the human race. Karl Marx created quite a stir with his theory of Communism and his ideology remains a milestone among the Eastern and Western cultures because his energies were focused on the idea of a government. Karl Marx with Friedrich Engels wrote the Communist Manifesto in 1848 that changed the system of governments in the East and West.

Generally speaking, there are people among us, who are stronger than the rest and create profound events in the lives of those around them. Look at any leader. What we see is that lives change for the better or worse of all people connected with a leader. Such changes do not become apparent instantly but they do occur.

There are people who carry with them an aura of fatality or of a positive event. A little observation will make it quite clear. Stay with such a person and watch the events taking place. Not every person is a catalyst. Most people have their energies quite scattered and they make up the work force of a nation.

Association with right people can make the difference between success and failure in life.

The Titanic disaster attracted more than 800 people to it. So great was its pull. There are smaller catalysts, too. Such people are the cause of an event. Nothing happens without action. An event is merely a reaction to an action performed consciously or unconsciously by a person.

When we become aware of two types of catalysts in our lives, we can then save ourselves from many negative events in our lives by dissociating ourselves from extreme people.

How Much Dysfunction Should You Allow Into Your Life?

April 27th, 2009

What exactly is dysfunction? It is a word society,
although probably overused, labels most anything
and everything. However, its true attribute can be
characterized as a negative that is mostly hurtful and
counterproductive.

A parent who consistently talks down to their children
in the attempts of suppressing their self esteem
would be a perfect citing of dysfunction.

It is quite obvious that none of us can escape
dysfunction. Television and media cater to an
extremely dysfunctional character trait that I believe
is learned, not necessarily inherited. The you angle
is portrayed as subtle, but quite effective.

When the media designs a mass advertising
campaign, they brainstorm the best way to approach
any perspective consumer in a targeted
demographic. The you angle feeds a person’s sense
of “what’s in it for me and how can I benefit”? This
mindset, I feel, carries over into all phases of one’s
life creating an environment of constantly coveting
self fulfillment.

So with this said, how does one break this powerful
mold the media injects daily onto you?

First, recognition of what is right and wrong is a good
place to start because the all-encompassing media
does not care about the average person, they simply
care about selling products, magazines, newspapers,
and the like. This is much like recognizing your
opponent’s weaknesses by studying them before you
engage them in whatever competition; a person must
understand this insurgent aspect of the media.

The media is just one example of dysfunction, but
there are literally hundreds of examples one could
conjure up, and it would take an entire book to list
and explain each one of them.

Initially, if a person has the ability to recognize or
detect dysfunction, then it would be logical that this
person has the capability to halt its progression into
their lives. However, if a person is so accustomed to
this way of life, it is seemingly second nature.

In this instance, logical thinking must be implemented
in order to understand that aspects of dysfunction are
infiltrating now, and have in the past. Well, you
might think one person’s trash could be considered
another’s treasure, so how would a certain aspect of
one’s life be blanketed as dysfunctional?

Logic!

If a person enables dysfunctional behavior, then the
people they enable will eventually catch on to this
and know that you will always permit it, so the cycle
continues.

Using your God-given logic will always assist you in
diagnosing a scenario that is littered with
dysfunction, or one that has the potential to bring it
into your life.

If you are a person who thinks more with their heart
than their head, this needs to change immediately!
Many of the times we are hurt by thinking with our
heart, and in turn the consequences can be quite
costly.

Taking control of how much negative comes into your
life is the basis for this article. I want the reader to
understand that they do have power to not only make
changes, however painful they might be, but dam up
the flow that a river of illogic and dysfunction causes.

By recognizing dysfunction, you limit its growth at its
root and logically understand its negative
characteristics. This gives you more than enough
ammunition to stave off its constant barrage. So start
to control the damage dysfunction brings today rather
than settling for a more inferior quality of life.

Reach Your Goals - Temp Your Way To The Top

April 25th, 2009

Temp your way to the top

Want to take the test for a software certification, but feeling a bit rusty? Need to brush up on your mechanic skills before tackling the full rebuild of that gas-and-oil-guzzler staining up your driveway? Or perhaps you need to re-enter the networking circle of your chosen work-from-home career after a few years out of the loop, but don’t want to get trapped into the office-bound aspects of it. One visit to your local temporary staffing agency could have you on your way to meeting your goals and getting paid for it at the same time.

Temp agencies are well known for their desire to work with their employee-clients (that’s you) on times, shifts, days and skill specifications. If you find out that you and a particular employer don’t see eye to eye on what you need, you can just say “no” (”no’s” are no big deal - the temp agency would rather find out before you walk out of an employer’s office mid-shift and leave them with a PR hassle). By the time you’ve gotten what you needed out of the bargain, you and the agency have made some extra cash and the local businesses will know your name (and hopefully, that’ll be a good thing).

There Are Umteen Home Gyms that Are Intentionally Created Not to Last

April 25th, 2009

Home gyms, how do you pick a solid home gym from the myriad of home gyms available? I’ve umpteen people purchase home gym equipment without investing a great deal thought into the procedure of selecting a quality piece of home gym equipment. I believe, at times that individuals will place more thought into choosing what to get for breakfast than choosing a home gym.

It’s real that the selection and variety in home gyms is virtually too much to handle. I can sure empathize why individuals might just think to purchase whatsoever piece of home gym equipment is pushed or appears hot. For Certain, aesthetics is part of how we might choose a home gym. Nonetheless, looks ought to be the least criteria to use.

Home gyms come in all shapes and sizes. Even so, when looking at home gyms I think the number 1 criteria ought to be durability. If a gym is not durable then, of course, you will discover yourself in the market place for a another home gym relatively soon. However, even worse is the fact that psychologically when you are exercising you recognize the gym is feeble and subconsciously hold back on working out with intensity. Intensity is a essential factor in having a good workout.

And so, the first criteria to seek out when choosing home gym equipment is durability. There are umteen home gyms that are intentionally created not to last. The cost might be tempting, but if it fails after simply a few usages then it becomes money lost.

A Minute of Deliberate Attraction is better than None.

April 24th, 2009

Before I explain why a minute of Deliberate Attraction is better than none, I’d like to begin by giving a definition of The Law of Attraction.
Definition of the Law of Attraction: I attract to myself, whatever I give my focus, attention, or energy to; whether wanted or unwanted.
It is important to understand that The Law of Attraction operates in every moment. Right now, in this very moment, each of us is offering a vibration and The Law of Attraction is matching that vibration and giving us more of it; whether or not we are offering that vibration deliberately or non-deliberately. As the definition says, whether wanted or unwanted, we attract more of whatever vibration we offer in every moment. When it comes to our vibration, whether or not they are deliberately offered, or non-deliberately offered, and whether or not our vibration attracts to us something we want or don’t want, The Law of Attraction is still paying attention and operating in exactly the same way—in EVERY moment.
Ideally, we will want to become more deliberate offer-ers about the vibrations we offer. When we become deliberate about what we give our focus, attention, and energy to, we are practicing Deliberate Attraction! Here is an easy 4-stage cycle to help you understand why Deliberate Attraction is an important skill to practice.
Stage #1: You observe what you are attracting in any moment of your life.
Stage #2: While observing what you are attracting, you are offering a corresponding vibration.
Stage #3: Whether offered deliberately or non-deliberately, in every moment, The Law of Attraction is checking in with your vibration.
Stage #4: The Law of Attraction then gives you more of whatever you are offering vibrationally.
This 4-stage cycle keeps repeating itself over, and over and over again. This is how you manifest more of whatever you give your focus, attention, or energy to.
Notice the word ‘attention’ in our definition of The Law of Attraction. The more Deliberate Attention you give to something you desire, the more quickly it will manifest in your life. Imagine spending one minute deliberately placing your focus, attention, and energy on the way you want something to be in your life. You are filling that minute with deliberately offered vibrations. Your vibrations are summoning the energy of The Law of Attraction to start unfolding whatever you just gave your attention to.
Now that you understand, more clearly, the significance of being a deliberate offer-er of your vibration, isn’t one minute of deliberate attraction better than none? Remember, when you give attention to what you Do want, you are including it in your current vibration. And, when you give attention to what you DON’T want, you are including it in your current vibration. The Law of Attraction doesn’t make any distinctions between the two.
In closing, in every moment, including this moment RIGHT NOW, RIGHT NOW, RIGHT NOW, you are including both what you want and don’t want in your vibration. Practice becoming more deliberate in your vibration and you will manifest your desires more quickly. That’s what Deliberate Attraction is all about.

Michael Losier, a Law of Attraction Trainer and author, supports people in understanding and practicing the Art of Deliberate Attraction, so they can have more of what they want and less of what they don’t. Michael has been applying the principles of Law of Attraction for many years and enjoys a wonderful and rewarding life in the city of Victoria, BC, Canada. Railbirds in Online Poker

April 22nd, 2009

Go into any major poker room or casino, find the tables where the big name online poker pros have taken a seat against each other, and in the chat box there, designed to allow players the ability to chat during the hands, you will see a swarm of rail birds running their mouths off, just begging to be acknowledged.

These spectators, whose comments run the gamut from ribbing the pros about their plays, cheering them on and begging for a comment, or often even advertising or begging for money, are almost frightening in their steadfast ranting. They’ll sit their for hours, typing in bad LOL-speak to one another, waiting for someone to laugh or pay attention to them.

The real triumph for these people would be getting an actual poker pro to respond to them and validate their chatter, though this never happens. Most likely, any pro you see sitting there has either muted chat from spectators, or is paying no attention, and the odds of them responding are well beyond the improbable. Their play goes on in silence, not even commenting to each other except in extremely rare events.

So what are these rail birds waiting for? Nothing really. It’s just another way entertain themselves while they have nothing else better to do: like play a hand themselves.

The Power of Thought: Attention! Thought Crossing!

April 19th, 2009

A Personal Question

What are you thinking - right now? “I’m reading your article!” you say. Well, take a little bit of a closer look. What’s spinning in the back of your mind? Is it that big deadline that’s looming at the end of the week? Or how you’re going to deal with your mother-in-law this weekend? Or maybe you’re worrying about your finances?

Are you even aware of the thoughts going through your head right now? What about… now?

Some Bad News From the Thought Police

Scientists estimate that an average person will think at a rate of roughly between 1 and 4 thoughts per second while awake. That’s well over 60,000 thoughts during a typical day! And, of all this jabbering going on in your head, it’s estimated that you’ve thought over 95% of your thoughts before. So, not only is your mind generally on a constant hamster wheel, but it’s also doing this spinning continuously, unproductively - and unoriginally.

The Power Between Your Ears - It’s Not What You Think

Enough bad news? Ok - now here’s the other side of the story. You have within you the greatest, simplest, and most powerful tool imaginable. It can lead you to great prosperity, joy, and fulfillment - or it can drop you instantly into the depths of despair and negativity.

No, I’m not talking simply about the power of thought - not even a fraction of those thousands of stale, repeat thoughts running through your head right now will be of much use to you. (Trust me; nope, not even the one wondering for the tenth time whether you turned the stove off this morning). But what is powerful is where you put your attention within all this clatter.

Mr. Webster Says:

“Attention: Concentration of the mental powers; a close or careful observing or listening”. So how does that apply to you? “Concentration of the mental powers” - all too often, we give away the concentration part of our attention to things utterly undeserving. Thoughts of worry, negative predictions, minor irritations, and daily minutiae are hardly productive, and take up too much room in your head.

And this leaves very little space for the second, critical, aspect of attention: “a close or careful observing or listening”. We, as a culture, don’t like to sit back and listen. We prefer to be constantly inundated with forceful messages which grab our attention and don’t let go. We too often forget to sit back and actually listen to the small voice of intuition. You know, the one that already has the answers that we’re trying so hard to figure out.

Try It Now

Give it a shot. Really. Stop for a minute, and focus actively on your thoughts - concentrate. What are you thinking? You know, that quiet and incessant little buzz behind your eyes; that unsettled feeling - what’s behind that? Now shift your attention to listening, see if there’s a message waiting for you. Just below the surface, what is it saying? Listen… You’re now learning to distinguish the noise of your mind from the voice of your intuition, your inner knowing - all through the tool of attention.

You Are Not Your Thoughts

There’s huge power in putting your attention actively on your thoughts. This helps you to separate the you from the thought. You are not your thoughts, you are having thoughts, they are passing through your head. You are bigger than your thoughts, and you can choose whether or not you want to give them power. And you do this by either giving them your attention, or by allowing them to just float on by.

Head and Heart

And it’s not just thoughts that you can focus your attention on. As cognitive psychologists and holistic healers have known for years, emotions and thoughts are deeply intertwined. One influences the other, and both influence your physical biochemistry. So learning to actively focus your attention on the thoughts and feelings you want, while letting go of those you don’t want, could be the best thing you’ll ever do for your health, your well being, and your happiness.

Oy Vey

“Great”, you may say. “But it isn’t so easy to catch my thoughts and feelings, or to do something about them. I don’t even know how I feel half of the time, and the thoughts go by so quickly!” Fear not - here’s are a few simple exercises.

Use Your Words

One way to “catch” your fleeting thoughts and feelings and to focus your attention on them is to “use your words”. Just like a parent may tell an unruly and whining child who is about to pick a fight to “use your words” to explain what’s bothering him, so can you gently nudge yourself to discipline. This may seem silly, but it’s remarkably powerful. Write down or speak out loud (or into a tape recorder) exactly what the thoughts and feelings are. Articulating them clearly gives them shape and focus, and allows you much more freedom to act in a way that supports your growth.

Thanks For Sharing

Now, as for how to manage the spinning and repeating thoughts, here’s a very simple and effective trick. Just like a parent knows not to take everything their child says too seriously, you can also learn to distinguish helpful thoughts and feelings from destructive ones. You can simply tell your thinker - “thanks for sharing. I will take your comments under advisement. Now, please move along”.

So What?

So how does all this relate to helping you find “what’s next”, or guiding you to “a you-er you”? Very directly, actually. If you practice putting your direct attention on the jabbering of your mind, articulating those slippery thoughts, and consciously and purposefully telling them “thanks for sharing!” and then purposefully re-focusing your attention where YOU choose, you will begin to create the space for your true inner voice to come through.

Plant the Seeds:

Now it’s your turn. Take a couple of minutes and try these exercises. Really. Try it now. You never know - hey, what’s next…?

1. Practice noticing your thoughts. Try the exercise in the “Try it Now” section above. Really.

2. Use your words. Get over feeling silly, and actually write down what your thoughts are. Try speaking, try using a tape recorder. Experiment. Notice which thoughts show up over and over. Note your top 5 - make friends with them, and thank them profusely for sharing. And remember - attention is power. What thoughts are you giving your power to?

3. Choose consciously. Once you become aware of the thoughts going through your head, you can begin to make choices. For example: “Hm, I’ve been thinking a lot about how unhappy I am in my job. Thanks for sharing. Duly noted. I think I’ll choose to focus my attention elsewhere right now, thanks.”

P.S. So - what are you thinking… now?

4. Try it out: set aside 5 (just five!) minutes every day to just BE. No distractions, no thoughts, no worries, no to-do lists. After a week or two, see what you got from this experience.

To dye or not to dye?

April 19th, 2009

“To dye or not to dye?” … that is the question. At least that was the question I began asking myself a decade ago as I grew weary of dyeing my grey-streaked hair. Back then, upon presenting my dilemma to my hairdresser I chose to follow his self-serving advice, “You’ll have plenty of time to go grey!”

Giving up the quest for a glamorous, youthful look was especially difficult for me as I had been the fashion queen; owning fashion boutiques, doing image consulting and writing a fashion column for ten years. I had felt pity for my sister-in-law years ago, when she decided not to dye her hair. At that time I vowed to never “let myself go,” and remain as youthful and glamorous as human powers would permit.

Yet, rather suddenly, more years of dying my hair passed and I found myself resenting being held hostage every six weeks to grey roots, chemicals soaking my scalp, dark stains along my hairline, and fumes in my eyes and lungs. More and more I begrudged the societal message clouting us: “Women lose their value, beauty and worth as they age and must do their utmost to hide the fact.”

Proof of this message drives the multi-billion dollar beauty/anti-aging industry which goads us into defying nature and negating the beauty, vitality, sexuality and worth of aging, grey-haired women.

Now it is commonplace to perpetually dye greying hair; surgically nip, tuck and lift aging faces; Botox worrisome wrinkles away; lyposuction fat off thighs; enlarge small breasts; pluck “inappropriate” hairs (then draw eyebrows back on!); wear make-up with toxic ingredients; and keep wearing current clothing that was in style when we were teens.

Unwittingly, we have been drawn into an anti-aging war being battled upon our bodies. Each of us has to draw the line between wanting to look good and becoming a slave to twisted societal demands. Where do we say “Enough is enough?”

Letting our grey grow is the “road less traveled.” The idea that we must be beautiful, youthful and lithesome to be acceptable and of worth is deeply ingrained within each of us. It can be an unnerving, shocking journey dumping our societies’ shallow values, and coming to accept our bodies as they are: grey hair, no hair, overweight, wrinkles and all.

Three years ago, when I decided to stop dying my hair, with the support of my husband and young boy, I faced deep fears. Being mid-forties and grey-haired would I lose my man to a younger, prettier woman? Would they see me “on the way out” in my professional career? And what was I to do on those days the mirror reflected an old, unsexy, grey-haired woman?

It’s interesting - I had to dig to the depths of my roots - in order to grow-out my roots. To grow grey I had to find the courage of my convictions and move against the mass belief. I had to go beyond my fears to find my own beauty and worth inside. Now, having experienced grey hair for three years, I can say it is incredibly freeing and comfortable to be who I am, just as I am.

To rise above societal beliefs and find our own intrinsic worth, beauty, vitality and sexuality let us begin with accepting, and caring for our bodies and our precious selves. Given the toxicity of many beauty products and treatments perhaps the question of - “To dye or not to dye” - should read… “To die or not to die,” that is the question.

Gulf War Syndrome: Don’t Be A Guinea Pig!

April 19th, 2009

“Who could imagine the government, all the way up to the Surgeon General of the United States, deliberately allowing a group of its citizens to die from a terrible disease for the sake of an ill-conceived experiment?”
-Commentary on the Multi-Decade Tuskegee Experiment

The world media is validating the warning I sent out over a year ago, “Are we being set up for another Gulf War Syndrome disaster?”

Yes, another outbreak of illness is occurring, and as predicted, vaccines are to blame. These vaccines are being used not for the stated purpose of protecting our troops from deadly disease but rather in experimentation programs by the military with the aim of developing next-generation vaccines.

My study of the relationship between the U.S. government’s “human experimentation through vaccination” program and the first Gulf War Syndrome had prompted me to warn of a repeat occurrence of the syndrome affecting U.S. troops. This vaccination experimentation program has received much less publicity than the decades-long radiation and MKULTRA testing programs, even though it is far more dangerous (and ongoing).

Since the policies that I believe caused the first Gulf War Syndrome (and the Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome stemming from HIV) have not changed, and the public has not realized how the medical system is being used to conduct dangerous experiments, we continue to see the predictably catastrophic results of human experimentation with vaccines on a grand scale.

The media catches on
After a decade of denials, the U.S. government has finally done a “U-Turn” and admitted what it previously denied: media reports of Gulf War Syndrome were true after all. The disease was not a figment of the troops’ imaginations, or due to stress. The government is even admitting a chemical exposure link to the disease. But unfortunately, the government is still covering up a major cause of the illness: chemicals injected in troops by the government itself.

Ironically, just as the government is catching up with old press reports on the reality of Gulf War Syndrome, the media has finally caught up with independent reports of a government-induced cause. Indeed, an increasing number of articles in the mainstream press are confirming that vets are being severely affected by the military’s own vaccine policy. The Charlotte Observer published a front-page article (”Victims of Vaccine,” 9/24/4) detailing the side effects of the military’s mandatory anthrax vaccine policy. (The article used the words “Covert Killer” in the subtitle).

An article from the St. Petersburg Times (”The shots of war,” 09/17/2004) reported similar developments:

“In the last decade, hundreds of troops insist the anthrax vaccine made them sick. Hundreds more have refused the shots, risking court-martial. Medical experts say it is safe. But the experts cannot definitively exempt the vaccine for a host of health problems reported by servicemen and women.”

Then there’s more definitive confirmation of a vaccine cause of the disease from the British press (Telegraph, 8/05/2004), which has been far ahead of the U.S. media in breaking this story:

“…in a sobering article by Michael Smith of The Daily Telegraph, Professor Simon Wesseley - previously a sceptic on the existence of a Gulf War illness - confirmed to the public inquiry on Gulf War Syndrome that not only were vaccines the culprit, but also that ‘the more vaccines you received, the more likely you were to suffer ill health’.” [emphasis added]

These articles bring up questions:

* If vaccines are the problem, why is the military going to such lengths to force troops to take them, even aggressively lobbying against a federal judge’s decision to halt the vaccine program in the interest of troop safety?

* Could the use of these vaccines be serving a hidden agenda?

* Does this agenda include using vaccines loaded with experimental additives to conduct dangerous human experiments in the development of next-generation vaccines?

The answers to those questions may shock you.

A Delaware paper (The News Journal) reported on October 10 more specific details of the Gulf War Syndrome II story. Its explosive exposé resulted in the vaccines being halted by a federal judge, for the second time. According to the Journal article:

“A former Dover Air Force Base commander says military officials used his troops as guinea pigs in illegal medical experiments under the government’s controversial anthrax vaccination program.”

As the Journal summarized, “Problems began at Dover in May 1999, after some troops in their 20s and 30s began developing illnesses normally associated with old age.”

According to the Delaware paper, “Lt. Col. Felix Grieder, concluded after years of investigation that his troops were the subjects of illegal experiments at the base.”

Grieder shut down the vaccine program at his base when Air Force medical spokesmen trivialized evidence that the vaccines were causing a host of medical problems in his troops, including arthritis and neurological dysfunction. (According to the Journal,” Grieder halted the vaccination program, a move he said brought an end to his military career.” )

This Journal article goes on to provide more details:

* The Defense Department used an illegal, experimental vaccine additive called squalene in some of the vaccines given to troops.

* This additive had not been approved for use in the U.S.; the military denies the squalene was placed in vaccines intentionally.

* The Department of Defense now admits what it previously denied: It has secretly used squalene in human vaccine experiments conducted overseas and the results of these experiments are still classified.

Base-commander Grieder’s claim of domestic experimentation on his soldiers with the vaccine additive was borne out. According to another Journal report, the vaccines given to the Dover Air Force base did indeed contain the experimental additives which, suspiciously enough, were not found in vaccines given to other bases:

“Subsequent testing by the Food and Drug Administration detected squalene in varying amounts in the vaccine. The substance was detected in all the vaccine sent to Dover, but not in vaccine sent to other military installations.”

The fact that selective additions of experimental additives used in classified international tests were found in U.S. military vaccines suggests that controlled experiments were replicated on U.S. soil, on U.S. troops used as laboratory guinea pigs. As Grieder summarized: “It appears illegal medical experiments were foisted upon us.”

Will we never learn?

Were these vaccines given to soldiers as a means of developing the next generation of vaccines? There is precedent for such a scenario. In AIDS: The “Perfect” Disease, I outline the manner in which such tests have been conducted for decades, beginning with the U.S. military’s recruitment of Nazi war criminals as consultants in 1940s-era experiments on American troops with German chemical warfare agents.

But this was just the beginning. Over the decades, under the guise of humanitarian research, scientists systematically replicated deadly animal cancer vaccine experiments in humans (and published the results in research journals):

* Through the 1950s and ’60s, they used increasingly dangerous methods to both reduce and induce tumor growth in humans for cancer vaccine experiments; beginning with West Nile Virus injections, progressing to cancer cell injections and then to monkey tumor and sarcoma virus injections.

* In the 1970s, one of these monkey sarcoma viruses was mixed in human cell cultures with a monkey immunodeficiency virus, one of many such viruses developed to selectively destroy the immune system to increase the effectiveness of cancer virus injections for vaccine experiments.

* In the early 1980s, an epidemic of rare sarcomas began in human populations suddenly infected with a mysterious immunodeficiency virus. This virus (HIV), which selectively depleted the immune cells targeted by vaccine researchers, was traced to a monkey virus similar to that grown in human cell cultures by cancer researchers just prior to the AIDS epidemic. (Similar viruses had been used in animal vaccine experiments for decades prior to AIDS.)

In my studies, I trace the spread of the AIDS/cancer epidemic to an international cancer vaccine experiment, implemented under the guise of public vaccination programs–specifically, an experimental hepatitis vaccine and the international smallpox vaccine. And the experiment is paying off handsomely, fulfilling the goals of the cancer vaccine research establishment, which invented immunosuppressive viruses for this purpose.

Not only AIDS can be traced to cancer vaccine experiments. Research by journals such as Insight Magazine has demonstrated that the first Gulf War Syndrome can be traced to experimental vaccines for AIDS research.

Such developments have moved me to conclude that sophisticated viruses and additives are being used to selectively deplete and boost the immune system in deadly human vaccine experiments. And I believe researchers are using one set of vaccines to create a demand for next generation vaccines while conducting vaccine experiments against diseases caused by earlier vaccine experiments. In the case of AIDS, they simply followed the well-worn experimental path used in decades of animal vaccine experiments using immunodeficiency viruses, which I refer to as the long-term strategy of “developing immuno-proficiency through immuno-deficiency.” This was done by selectively destroying the immune system in the presence of cancer viruses to pinpoint weaknesses which can be then be compensated for through more focused cancer vaccine strategies (in some cases using modified versions of the original cancer viruses as vaccine viruses).

This extensive history, in light of the military’s ongoing insistence on exposing its captive troops to dangerous medical concoctions (in flagrant violation of the Geneva Convention), makes it easier to believe that the most recent episode of Gulf War Syndrome is the result of further vaccine experimentation. And recent events bear this out. In the midst of vigorous denials that the military was experimenting on its troops with vaccines containing unapproved experimental additives such as squalene, The Journal reported that “the Army applied for a patent for a new way to make anthrax vaccine with squalene as an ingredient. The patent was granted two years later.”

Charges of vaccine experimentation would be easier to deny if the military was more forthcoming with the facts on experimental additives found in its vaccines and less interested in filing patents based on them. It has not only refused to release results of overseas experiments with squalene vaccines (which it had denied existed), but it has also:

* put a gag order on the soldiers who were experimented on domestically with the additive

* carried out punitive actions against those who refuse to be vaccinated

* even punished a pilot who obediently reported disease symptoms that might be blamed on the vaccine

And while the military continues to use the vaccine identified as the culprit, the FDA refuses to screen the vaccines for the squalene contamination its own labs found in the vaccines!

Such high-level cooperation and corruption allows long-term experimentation to continue unimpeded. Indeed, this anthrax vaccine experimentation has been going on for some time. Grieder’s research only confirms what Insight Magazine reported as far back as 1997 about military experimentation with squalene vaccines, its effect on troops during the first Gulf War and the legacy of lies to cover it all up. As Insight reported:

“Insight at first was told squalene was not in the government’s arsenal of drugs — then discovered it had been used in experimental medical trials at the National Institutes of Health involving cutting-edge herpes vaccines. Suddenly the story line was that, yes, it’s used there — but nowhere else. Insight discovered that it was used at the Army’s Walter Reed Medical Research Center — then the story line was that, yes, it’s used there — but only recently and only for an experimental malaria-vaccination program. When Insight discovered it has been used at Walter Reed for HIV research, the cover story moved to yes — but only in laboratory work involving animals. Insight next discovered that Walter Reed actually manufactures a pharmaceutical-grade version of squalene. ….Finally we learn that the Pentagon — by and through Walter Reed, among others — has been engaged in human testing programs involving an anti-HIV vaccine using squalene as the adjuvant in concert with private firms through a cooperative program funded by the Pentagon.”

Lt. Col. Jay Lacklen provided a fitting summary of the affair. According to the Delaware Journal, “Lacklen, a retired senior pilot who received the full program of anthrax inoculations in Dover, has spearheaded a drive to rebut the military’s versions of events. He harbors no doubt that senior military officers experimented on him, his fellow pilots and his crews.”

The Journal quoted Lacklen as saying: “They have squandered generations of trust and goodwill for a program that violated U.S. law and the Geneva conventions. They have jeopardized America’s front-line troops, and therefore, the safety of the nation.”

Indeed, according to the Delaware paper, the military’s arrogant and criminal vaccination policy has adversely affected U.S. readiness:

“A General Accounting Office study finds that a quarter of all 176,000 pilots and other flight crew members in the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard have resigned or transferred out of their units in the past year. The loss of personnel is blamed on suspicions about the anthrax vaccine.”

In spite of this and the Delaware congressional delegation’s demanding four separate federal investigations into the vaccine fiasco, the Pentagon has not backed off. It has accelerated the mandatory vaccine policy, declaring that civilian employees at the base and elsewhere may be forcibly vaccinated, in addition to the troops. The Journal warned:

“Nationwide, the defense department’s 800,000 civilian employees are being drawn into the controversy over the anthrax vaccination program simmering among Air Force pilots and crews at Dover and around the country.”

Until the public demands that the Pentagon be made to stop this experimentation, you can expect our troops, and civilians as well, to continue to be treated like guinea pigs.

Is that what you want? If not, make your voice heard. Feel free to pass this article on.

“The reason Gulf War Syndrome happened is that no one did anything about AIDS. The reason AIDS happened is that no one did anything about MKULTRA. The reason MKULTRA happened is that no one did anything about ongoing U.S. complicity in Hitler’s crimes.”
