Iraq has become the quagmire of the middle east for the American military. What is the problem in Iraq and why is the situation getting worse and worse? It is you know, even though you are hearing that things will work out. Lets look the situation over!

The size of Iraq is 271,596 sq miles. It has a population of about 24 million people. We have about 100,000 soldiers there. That is one soldier for every 2.7 square miles. This is not exactly inspiring is it? The British conquered Iraq in the last century but things were very different then. There certainly was no movement like there is now to disrupt the occupation and the upcoming vote. Some genius decided that we could use Iraqis to help us because we didn’t have enough troops, but no one really knows how to figure out which Iraqis are on our side and which ones aren’t. It seems to me that one of the simplest things to do would be to infiltrate an Iraqi unit by a terrorist or Saddam supporter. These units are not reliable. It has been said in some areas that the Iraqi desertion rate is over 80% but I have no way to verify this statement. I have to tell you that I do believe that this is close to the truth. I think that many Iraqis thought that if they jointed the Iraqi military or police that they would be protected by American forces until they could get on their feet. Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to be the case. The American forces have their own problems.

I wonder if the insurgents are getting stronger? You don’t hear anything about this. It seems to me that many Iraqis must be having second thoughts about helping the Americans. They may be afraid of us pulling out. When I was in the service we always had enough equipment to do the job, but I read so much about our forces not having what they need, it is such a shame. There was an article in the paper the other day about military dog handlers begging their relatives at home to send dog food because the dogs were starving. Can you believe that? It seems to fit right in with the troops not having the armored vehicles they need when they go on patrol. What kind of military action is this when you don’t have enough troops and they don’t have what they need? Are we talking about the US military here, it is hard to believe? The next thing we are liable to hear is that we don’t have enough bullets.

This business about punishing soldiers who use parts from unused vehicles to make their vehicles safe for patrol is unheard of. Taking these kinds of parts has been an unsung tradition in the military since some supply sergeant borrowed oars so that Washington could get across the Potomac Why do some idiots feel that they must make examples of their own troops. I say there is no place in the military for these people.

What about all the munitions that we didn’t round up when we conquered Saddam’s army? The Iraqi army was very well supplied in terms of hand held munitions. I don’t think we could even calculate how many munitions are in the hands of the insurgents. I think it is safe to say that they wouldn’t run out of ammo any time soon. Here we are, the world’s leading technological nation, yet we can’t detect buried or hidden munitions? You would think that satellites, dogs, informers, spy planes or something could do this. If a reward was offered for caches of weapons beyond a certain size this might help. I don’t have the answer but it does seem strange.

I have always felt that we shouldn’t have gone into Iraq. I also felt that if you do something, do it right. You would think that we would have learned this from Vietnam, but apparently we didn’t. Look at the similarities. There is no front line, we can’t tell the enemy from the friend, and troop morale is low because some troops are not convinced they are doing the right thing among other problems. Couldn’t we have gotten rid of Saddam covertly? We were very worried that someone like him would take his place if he was eliminated, but look at the mess we have now. How are we ever going to stabilize Iraq if we keep doing what we are doing? Even the Iraqi people are getting divided on whether there should be elections or not. I guess the real question is, can there be elections?

Has anything really been gained by taking over Iraq except access to more oil and big contract awards to favored companies? We got rid of Saddam and his family, but a lot of his supporters just went underground and are now sabotaging everything we do. They are terrorizing their own people and killing American troops. If we were to pull out now, Iraq would probably have a reign of terror so terrible that it couldn’t be contemplated. It seems that we will have to stay, but for how long? I hate to say this but the situation sort of reminds me of Northern Ireland and we all know how long the British stayed there. I think Iraq could turn out to make Northern Ireland look like a picnic. Even if we pulled out tomorrow and a wave of violence didn’t happen (I can’t believe that) would Iraq be over run by its neighbors? Who knows?

As time goes by we might even see the draft restarted. I know the president said no draft, but the military desperately needs men and you can’t just keep extending the tours of those over there. Just think what this country could have done with the money being spent in Iraq. This is a country where something like 40,000,000 people can’t get hospitalization insurance and many seniors can’t afford drugs. Does anyone in power care, well let’s look at what has happened recently. The drug companies had done everything in their power to stop people from buying drugs from Canada where they can get them cheaper. Social Security cuts are being proposed by the government. A drug plan was passed that does nothing for the average person but adds 45 billion in costs according to some estimates. I could go on but why bother?

So the question goes back to what do we do about Iraq. In the ancient times the leader of a country would have went to the Oracle at Delphi and asked this question, but there are no oracles around today and no one seems to know what to do. I don’t know but I didn’t plan the Iraq invasion. What kind of plans did we have? What were the plans for the rehabilitation? Were there any plans? All I remember is being told how the Iraqis would love us for liberating them. Who would invade a country without a plan, a viable plan? I guess we would!

An Alternative to Nazism

Introduction

When speaking of Nazism, and the ranks that have existed under
the ideas of anti-Semitism, one typically also includes others,
such as the Ku Klux Klan, White Pride militants, the
“Creativity” Movement, among other groups that are of a
nationalist and racialist opinion. When I speak of Nazism, I am
referring to those who have a particular anti-Semitism and have
organized themselves into this movement. While the original
National Socialist Party by Adolf Hitler has been expunged by a
coalition of Allied forces, the ideas that formed the basis of
this party still exist today. Today, the anti-Semite and Nazi
thoughts, converting new individuals and dissipating from older
generations, have been organized into various parties. They can
be found in different chapters throughout different cities, the
various collectives of individuals who hope, either through
propaganda or protest, to convince the rest of the white
population that they are oppressed. In this piece, I am going to
offer an alternative to Nazi ideology. By this, I mean I am
going to justify an opposing theory, one of tolerance, rather
than one of intolerance and persecution.

The Essence of Nazism

“The Jewish youth lies in wait for hours on end spying on the
unsuspicious German girl he plans to seduce. He wants to
contaminate her blood and remove her from the bosom of her own
people. The Jew hates the white race and wants to lower its
cultural level so that the Jews might dominate.”

The essence of Nazism is to befriend another by the color of
their skin, to ostracize another because of the parents that
brought them into the world; it is make allies and enemies on
account of the one aspect of their life they could not control,
who their parents were. The only part of life a man or woman
cannot alter or change is whom their parents are, what racial
background they are descended from. They may be born into the
slums of poverty, the thresholds of political oppression, the
bitter and unjust yolk of slavery. Yes, they may be born into
some other things they cannot control, but they are still given
a chance to overthrow even the most difficult obstacles; yet, as
to their race, nothing they can do will change it. Asside from a
man’s race, how they feel about it is also what anti-Semites and
Nazis will judge. A white man who befriends black or asian men
and women will be called a “race traitor.” Upon these two traits
of character come the method of judgment: race and sentiments on
the importance of race.

As to a man’s intelligence, his wit, his strength, his courage,
his boldness, interest in goodness and appeal to justice, Nazism
offers no desire. Furthermore, it has made the statement that
all good qualities can be found in the Aryan race, the white
race, the “pure” race. Those desirable characteristics that have
intrinsic value, the search for goodness and thoughtfulness,
Nazism claims that they can be only be found within those of the
Aryan race. The debased qualities, cruelty, malice, ignorance,
apathy, nihilism, greed, those qualities we find in those we
hate and in those who have done us wrong, Nazism has applied
them to those of a different race. Those of the Jewish
ethnicity, it has called them the destroyer of culture, the
conspirator against equity, the enemy of the good, common
people. Those who have descended from the African race have been
called bruttish, ignorant, violators of women, and holding an
indecent disrespect for all that is sacred. Of those whose race
developed and grew in Asia, they have been called the deceivers,
thieves to the good spirit of Democracy, culprits against the
strength of the people. There is no doubt that these are
despisable attributes; no good person will have these qualities,
but will deplore them. The tenets of Nazism agree, but they have
gone one step further, in accusing the non-white races of
holding these attributes. The genetic characteristics are
indicative of moral and personal qualities, so they have
advanced.

The races of the world, as diverse as they are, representing a
variety of cultures and ideas, have been targeted by the
soldiers of Nazism. They have been called the ones responsible
for the problems of the world. So, it is that the duty of every
Nazi has been to convince the world that it is only right to
fight the other races.

work of instilling into the hearts and brains of the youth
entrusted to it the racial instinct and understanding of the
racial idea. No boy or girl must leave school without having
attained a clear insight into the meaning of racial purity and
the importance of maintaining the racial blood unadulterated.
Thus the first indispensable condition for the preservation of
our race will have been established and thus the future cultural
progress of our people will be assured.”

Does the Evidence Exist?

Can the claims that have been applied by Nazi ideology be
confirmed? Of the Jewish race — are they a particularly cruel
and bitter people? I can find no evidence that supports this
conclusion, and as my experience in the world grows, I am
constantly observing otherwise. Baruch Spinoza, Sigmund Freud,
Albert Einstein, Franz Kafka, all writers, philosophers,
psychologists, scientists, were also all Jewish, either
ethnically or culturally or religiously. I certainly cannot say
that I agree with all the words spoken or written by these
individuals, I understand that Spinoza genuinely sought out the
truth, that Freud applied a new and innovating method of
psychology, that Einstein’s theories revolutionized physics, and
that Kafka’s contribution to literature was considerable. I have
yet to discover a single source that attributed these figures
with being merciless or thoughtless, and none either that would
attribute them with these characteristics because of their
ethnicity.

Of the African race — are the White Supremacists justified in
asserting that they are a barbaric and unrefined manner? In all
my experience and observation, I have found that good qualities
and bad qualities never develop out of one’s racial background.
In my travels across the United States, I have found depravity
and cruelty in those of every descent, and I have found eternal
comradery and brotherhood with people of every skin color. A
strong sense of family and security existed among these friends
of mine, and I felt safe among them, whatever race they happened
to be. Whatever the differences we have, of culture or
preference or background, I come nothing short of being
confirmed that kinship is an emotion that knows no race. At
times like those, I wondered how a Nazi could have developed
their ideology. And the answer comes to me. It was from
propaganda, from another person’s writing, not from actual
observation, but from another person, whose observation was
either limited or non-existant. So it would be, that a man can
find goodness, and cruelty, in every race, had he employed the
philosophy of observation. Lewis Latimer, W.E.B. Dubois, Roland
Hayes, and Dr. Charles Richard Drew are all African in descent,
but have contributed towards society in remarkable ways. Latimer
pioneered the electrical and lightbulb industry, working with
Edison. W.E.B. Dubois was a scholar and a visionary. Roland
Hayes was a composer and an artist to life. Dr. Charles Richard
Drew offered the knowledge of blood preservation and
tranfusions, his work saving hundreds of millions of lives. In
my understanding of the character of these men, I have found
nothing to persuade me that they were of a corrupt or degenerate
nature, nothing to convince me that they were particularly
brutal or thoughtless.

Those who have descended from the Asian peoples — is it
justified that the National Socialist Party opposed them, their
culture, and their rights and liberty? The Nazi followers have
argued that the races coming from the continent of Asia are
greedy, brutal, and hold no consideration for others. Those with
racialist attitudes will hold distrust and animosity towards
others based on their appearance, and so it is, that the Nazi
movement has made an enemy out of the world’s peoples. As I
explained before, the attitudes a Nazi develops towards these
other races is because of propaganda, because social attitudes
that he was imbedded with. But to these claims, are they just?
Was Lao Tzu thoughtless, careless with his observations,
merciless? What of Sidartha Gautama or Confucius? It was the
imperative of all of these philosophers to develop a method of
society and living that would minimize suffering, not only of
humans, but of all life. With millions of followers for every
one of these philosophies, it can hardly be argued that these
people are of a debased, inhumane nature. But then again, the
fact that there are millions to serve in murder and execution
squads, during the revolutions and counter-revolutions across
Asia, the various religious wars between the different groups –
it proves just what I have asserted: that good and bad qualities
can be found in all, despite racial background. One’s parents do
not determine the moral qualities of the offspring. Experience,
observation, and demonstration prove that beyond a doubt.

I contend this… That no civilization was brought to rubble
because of the loss of a “pure race,” that no person is of a
heartless or mindless character because of their ethnic
background; the love of a person does not change because of the
color of their skin, the pain and misery of an individual are
not less or more because of heritage — a treacher, brutal act
is not pardoned or explained by the criminal’s background; a
beautiful, merciful act is not less poetic or less sincere
because of the one reason that Nazis have applied. Every person
is different in all sorts of ways, but physical appearance does
not determine the moral sentiments, the mental strength, the
kindness or villany of a person — only actions do.

An Alternative

There is never a vice so destructive, that alternatives can’t
be found — no act so merciless, that a change of heart and
ammends are impossible. To Nazism, I state that the alternative
exists. To those who have sided with the Nazi regime, the White
Power and White Pride movement, the Ku Klux Klan, those who have
emboddied Racist ideals, I offer them an alternative: to throw
off the shackles of cultural prejudice and discrimination, and
to adhere to justice, goodness, and charity among all living
people. To walk with the knowledge that it is an act of duty to
liberate the oppressed, not to walk with the lie that the white
race is superior. To understand, inspire, hope, with a passion
for improving the lives of all people. To allievate poverty, to
end misery, to fight hunger, to do all that can be done to help
the lives of all people, no matter what skin color they have.

The Anti-War sentiment, to live with the wisdom that killing
people and destorying cities is but the epitome of barbarism. To
believe that war is wrong is to affirm the very basic tenet of
Humanitarianism: that to live by rapine and mayhem, to make your
living off the pain and misery of others, is but the greatest
injustice.

The Anarchist position… To understand and act, so that
everyone’s personal liberty is respected, that everyone is
granted their right to opinion, through speech and thought. To
hold that all political decision-making ability belongs to the
people and the people alone, that military suppression of the
population is a violation of truth and justice — that is
Anarchism.

Among all the alternatives that one could pose to the ideology
of Nazism, there is one that stands out among the rest… To
stand with the strength, the boldness, the courage, and oppose
all forms of Racism and Sexism. To affirm to yourself that no
man is made better or worse by his race, that no person should
be denied freedom or rights because of their gender, and to
stand by this and fight for it is a sign of goodness in
character, an personal omen of genuine affection for the
condition of mankind. The alternatives exist and I have
presented them. To those who hold a grudge against the races of
the planet, they must now show that they are strong enough to
change.

appear ridiculous to the accepted instructors of the people.”

Profit: Its Social Motivation and Function

A brief treatise on this commonly referenced and highly sought subject of economics…

The Economic Function of Profit

Profit serves primarily as an economic idea. If a merchant were to purchase a single loaf of bread for one dollar and to sell it for two dollars, that would be a single dollar of profit, or what many economists would call a 100% profit return. What does money translate to for the merchant? It translates specifically to privilege: the right to possess and consume products and services, which would otherwise be unreachable, had the merchant sold his labor, instead of selling commodities. By selling one loaf of bread and gaining one dollar of profit, we could just as well say that by selling one loaf of bread, he is gaining another loaf of bread for personal use. If the merchant was doing poorly at his business, if he wasn’t profiting and his needs as a human being were still just as strong, then he could satisfy his economic position by entering the laboring class. That is one very obvious microeconomic example of what profit translates to. Consider something more on the macroeconomic scale. An investor purchases two hundred thousand dollars worth of stock. The dividends pay him only two percent every quarter, or $4,000 every three months. This money he spends on clothing, food, luxury, transportation, housing, all imaginable needs. His investment was the spur to an economy to get people to manufacture a product that would be sold at a profit. When people bought this product with their money, they not only paid for the production cost of the product, but they paid an additional portion, called the “profit;” which means they were paying for the merchant’s food, clothing, and other items of purchase.

The function of profit as a motivator to the capital-owning class, the Capitalist class, is very apparent. Capitalists make wealth by possessing wealth, which is why their property is a different type of property: capital. The alternative to their method of making wealth is to exchange their labor as a commodity. It is also quite apparent that those who make wealth by possessing wealth prefer that method of sustenance. They do not labor, yet they enjoy the fruits of the labor of others. We never see billionaires maintaining power lines or serving fast food. Those who are forced to do these otherwise stressful occupations are people who must trade their labor as a commodity out of necessity. To be able to satisfy their needs of shelter, food, water, and other requirements, they exchange labor as their only commodity. The class that labors to produce wealth to exchange has been referred to by Marxists as the Proletariat class, borrowing terminology from a low caste of the ancient Roman Empire. The class that exists off of the labor of others has gone by the aforementioned popular term: Capitalist.

The Capitalist and Proletariat class are both consumers; that is, they both are purchasers and users of the wealth created by society. When a person purchases a loaf of bread, what they pay can be divided up in to two parts: one part to pay for the actual production costs of the bread, and one part to pay profit. When it happens that the consumer is also a member of the Proletariat class, there are some other deductions that we can further. The Proletariat can pay with the only thing afforded to them: their labor. When a member of the Proletariat decides to purchase a loaf of bread, he is paying with his labor. If a loaf of bread costs only $2.00 and the worker is paid $6.00 an hour, which means that the loaf of bread would cost him twenty minutes of labor. Let’s say, for the sake of this example, that the Proletariat consumer here is a bread worker. Since he would be paying for the cost of the bread and profit of the merchant, he would already be making an unfair exchange at the moment of producing the bread. The Proletariat worker who bakes bread for a living will be buying the bread he makes at a loss, and his extra labor will produce bread that will feed other workers. Other workers in society produce items that they would never use in their lifetime. Assembly line workers in expensive automobile factories may never buy a car. Since they contribute to the social wealth in order to have their needs be satisfied, the luxury workers labor in order to get the produce of other members of society. So, we see the producing parts of society in two categories: those who work to produce necessities to feed the majority, and those who work to produce luxury items and fine items for a small minority. The proportion of these groups is probably subject to variation, but it is safe to say that each group of workers plays an enormously important role in the Capitalist system. If a Capitalist is selling a product for fifty percent profit, what he is saying to the Proletariat consumer is: “For you to accept this product, I want you to work long enough to feed yourself and another person; the other person will make luxury items for me in exchange for the surplus bread you produced.”

The Social Function of Profit

The origin of a Capitalist’s extravagant living, high standards, financial security, and ease of existence is due to his role in the economy: the possessor of wealth. One might look at the way the wealth distribution system is set up and they would say that the only reason one part is privileged is because it owns capital. Simply by possessing wealth does one class gain an advantage over another class. When the Capitalist class desires profit, it can simply raise the retail cost of products and services. A loaf of bread normally costing $1.00 to produce and $2.00 to purchase might then cost $3.00. Instead of a 1:1 ratio proportion of production cost to profit, there is a one 1:2 ratio proportion of production cost to profit. The rising price for the Proletariat workers and consumers means one of three things: they will not be able to consume as many goods, they will need to work longer, or both. The first case, of not being able to purchase as many products, is due to Capitalists enjoying their wealth and suddenly stopping. There was a well-balanced economy, with one part creating the necessities for the majority, and another proportionate part creating luxuries for the tiny minority at the top. The minority at the top stops its consumption, causing massive unemployment of luxury workers, flooding the other economic sector with more laborers but not more consumers. There are more workers competing for the same jobs in the part of the economy that produces the items that the majority uses. But, with the Capitalist class relaxing their purchases, there is a lack of people to buy the items that the new workers can create. The majority was already having its needs satisfied with the current laborers who produce necessities for the majority; since people aren’t buying more, businesses cannot take on the additional influx of workers, causing unemployment. The term used by economists is a depression.

Then there is the second case, of the Proletariat consumer having to work longer just to purchase the same items. This occurs when Capitalists want to increase their own items of luxury that they consume. If the retail cost of items goes up, that means that a Proletariat consumer must exchange a longer amount of labor for the same amount of bread. A bread price increase might mean that the Proletariat baker, for instance, would have to make enough bread not just to feed himself and another worker, but he would need enough bread to feed himself and two others. On the macroeconomic scale, this translates to a migration of workers. Workers who produced wealth for the masses would instead shift to the other occupation: producing luxury for the tiny minority of Capitalists. If that happened, that means that Proletariat workers who worked the same amount of time would get a smaller amount of wealth. To sustain the same lifestyle, a worker would have to take on additional work hours. In an economy with this shift, one would see the general trend of workers giving a little more labor, consumers getting a little less wealth, and the Capitalist class gaining privilege. In some cases, this could reflect a recession, the upswing of a depression. These are the guidelines that the Capitalist class will always operate on; the Capitalist class will suddenly relieve their purchasing habits, causing unemployment, or increasing their purchasing habits and causing a less amount of wealth for the workers.

When looking at this social organization, one might ask: why should we live in such an economy? It seems clear that a group of workers is capable of producing enough necessities for themselves and the others; everyone should just work together, everyone contributing to their own common wealth, so that no strictly idle or strictly working class exists. If everyone worked to produce wealth to be used by the majority, instead of working for the luxury of a few, then workdays would probably be cut to a third or a fourth of what they are today. Wages would increase, bringing a real improvement in living and working conditions. Poverty, crime, and unemployment, all products of this Capitalist organization, would disappear if workers were allowed to freely produce and exchange products without profit. It is simply the possession of wealth, of capital, that allows one group to maintain economic dominance over the other group. Since one group possesses capital, they are allowed to be idle and gain wealth by the labor of a Proletariat worker. It is the social organization of Capitalism that creates a type of wage slavery. A worker is forced to produce more wealth than they are given. The extra wealth is exchanged for something that satisfies the interest of a person who did no labor. The social situation at hand begs one final conclusion. Private property is theft. It is by private property, the idea that a person can own capital, that a person can exploit another individual, whose only crime was not being a possessor of capital. All of the wealth of society is produced by the working class, but the rules of Free Enterprise have dictated one unfair judgment: the tiny, idle minority class is to be given more wealth than those responsible for creating it.

The Political Function of Profit

It is ironic today, to see black and Asian businessmen who are willing to contract slave labor in third world nations. The facts are out there: children work twelve hours a day in hazardous conditions for little pay. It is ironic, because both blacks and Asians were once slaves in this country, yet today they participate in the slavery that destroyed their people. The face of authority always changes, but the trends of authority are never absent. The United States, for instance, has a long, dark history, of manipulating international laws, subverting revolutionaries who are overthrowing a dictator, or setting up slave labor in third world countries. Again, the irony is still painfully present: the United States was formed by a cluster of colonies that believed in the idea that people have a right to govern themselves. America’s involvement in Vietnam, for example, was solely to prevent the popular Democratic uprising. Perhaps centuries worth of infertile soil and millions of dead people was America’s plan. I watch these societies today with pain, as everyone is induced by the hypnotic glare of the establishment’s propaganda, through television, radio, and all media.

The newest Iraq War produced for us pictures and photographs of US soldiers torturing prisoners. It was widely known and understood by almost all individuals of the press and government, but they both refused to let the media channels distribute the information. It wasn’t until the photographs were distributed that the government needed to take action, “on this horrible thing which we could never have imagined.” The words faintly remind us of commanders finally believing the stories of Nazi war crimes only when they crossed the border in to the country. All of a sudden, the world was stricken with the tragedy… despite the decades of information given to authorities and the press in other countries. I’m sure our leaders were thinking more of the interest rates of the debt Germany had incurred; their interest was profit, not any incidental cost of human lives in slave camps. In our world’s political scene, we find factories operated by slave labor and producing American commodities, and in every case, there is always a tyrannical government, supporting foreign investors and oppressing its own people. The actions of Nazi Germany come to mind. The German Holocaust is over, that is true, but there are at least a hundred situations in the world right now where the same thing is happening. Why would the established authority of America condemn the persecution of minorities in an oppressive, totalitarian government, but at the same time, ignore the widespread slavery throughout the world? American culture and society, which is hopelessly intertwined with authority and the state, allows us to create these contradictions. The American CEO today looks back to Auschwitz and tells us that it is a great crime against humanity. But, he continues, “The slave camps the Reich created in Poland and France are admirable methods of outsourcing labor; we should hope to emulate them in our plan of a globalized economy.”

The greatest irony of our world is that we will curse anyone who wants to enslave another man for his race, but we praise those who enslave another man because of his class. America, the state, looks down on any culture that would put forced labor on a person because of their racial background. But when any entire people are put in slavery to create products for Western civilization, words like “rugged individualism” and “free trade” are used as a defense. Millions of Americans continue shopping at Walmart, Niketown, and the other retailers. The crowd mentality survives. The masters of all publishing houses keep the people from knowing the truth. Everyone proceeds on the same grounds, as blind, ignorant, and apathetic as the rest. Millions of people in Britain will start receiving their compulsory national identity cards in only four years time under the detailed plans unveiled by the home secretary, David Blunkett, yesterday.

Under legislation to be published in January, the five million people who apply each year for a passport or driving licence will automatically be issued with an identity card and their personal details stored on a new national identity computer database.

Mr Blunkett made clear yesterday that they will also have to undergo hi-tech electronic eye and fingerprint scans to ensure that the new combined ID card/passport or driving licence cannot be forged.

The identity card will also be compulsory from 2007 for a further 4.6 million foreign nationals living in Britain.

Identity cards are not going to go away. They are here to stay and the government is adament to push them through. The government department I work for is classified where the Retina Eye Scan technology is what will be used to provide fool proof ID card accuracy. Yes thats right. This is not a pipe dream. This is already today’s technology.

These new cards will be extremely hi tech and it WILL NOT be possible for anyone to copy them or forge someone elses ID because you, the owner are unique. Your fingerprints and retina details will ensure that these cards cannot be cloned and used by anyone else. This is a fact.

In ten years time you will get off an aircraft and upon exit to the landing hall you will hear the tanoy announce that you should remove any sunglasses or any item covering your eyes. From over 800 yards away a multiple scan will be in progress and it will be flicking through each traveller in recognition of their British Citizenship. All unrecognised travellers will be funnelled into numbered channels for country verification and status checks. Anyone travelling on a non chip compatible passport will be refused entry. All persons previously not having travelled to the UK will be recorded with a quick retina scan and finger prints taken.

To book into hospital, withdraw your cash, pay your bills - soon , in the not too distant future you will have one card that can do this - your ID card. Gradually, as you get used to your card and use it every day for standard ticket machines on public transport, vending machines ( it will act like a credit card across all vending machines ) etc, you will become resigned to the fact that this system is here to stay. Those that wish to escape. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. You will conform. You will conform.

By 2035 your reliance on your ID card will be complete. Your house door will open with its insertion, your car will have no lock but an ID card slot and it will act upon the correct card insertion. All your bills will be paid on your ID account. Your card will work from any vending machine, shop or supermarket and cash will no longer be carried.

Terrorism has all but been wiped out. You cannot move these days without your ID card and wherever you move you are recorded by virtue of the fact that you use your credit card to spend your money. There are no fake credit cards or fake ID cards. They are just not available. They do not work. THe central computer and scanners can determine genuine or fake cards. Anyone caught with one ( impossible without the owners actual participation ) faces £15,000 fine or one years imprisonment. Any producer or persons caught replication or attempting to replicate the card face life imprisonment and confiscation of all monies and properties owned.

There will be no law insisting that you carry your ID card around with you - there is no need - your reliance on it is absolute. You could not survive without it. No one accepts cash any more. Even for items of only a few pence it is simpler to swipe your card through a machine than open a till and mess about with change.

What does it take to make people realize that we live in the
United States, an how important it is to buy things that are

motor company, who’s chomping at the bit, just to stay alive in
this economy.

people have quit supporting our country and it’s products, and
this is a sad thing to see happening in the USA, I think it’s
all due to the ignorance of the people that call themselves
Americans, and when it come time to prove it, they turn their
backs on our country.

By not supporting our countries business and its products, they
are in essence pushing the knife in deeper and giving it a big
twist, helping their own country lose business, and the Ford
motor company going out of business is a good example of this
display, of the blatant disregard for our way of living in the
USA.

This is all a part of the lower crust of our country trying to
push it’s bottom feeding habits on everybody around them, if
people cared about our country, it seems to me that maybe they
could support it. Of course what I mean by support our country,
I mean buy things that are made in the USA, and made by our
people that work for companies in the United States.

Or if you don’t want to do this, then don’t whine when the
company that you work for has to give you a decrease in pay, or
gives you less hours at work to make up for monetary losses that
they had due to a drop in business, and when they can’t afford
to hire skilled labor any more, and start to hire illegal aliens
to replace you, just look in the mirror to find the cause of the
problem, it’s you to blame, and nobody else.

So don’t whine about the economy, or your low pay or anything
else to do with money, it’s all of you people that don’t by
American products that are causing the problem.

Immigration in the US is a heated topic as of late. The problem is with illegal immigrants from Mexico. Citizens are upset that illegals are taking jobs, not paying taxes, but at the same time taking advantage of government programs.

citizens including legal aliens do not want illegals to not have to pay their dues. However, many speculate that economic damage by deporting illegals would be massive. Also how would the government execute a plan that would deport millions of people at once.

The solution will not be simple. The government has not made any solid moves because of the touchyness of the subject. President Bush will address the nation on this issue on Monday. Just talks of deportation or any action other than amensty has sparked protest marches in major cities across the US. In one particular march, immigrants were proudly waving Mexican flags. That makes me upset. If they want to stay they should be proud to be here and not bragging about where they’re from.

A solution should start at the border. Better border patrol means fewer illegals. Some citizens are taking this up themselves due to a lack of a response from Washington.

What to do with illegals already in the country? That’s difficult. Deportation is not plausible.

Some sort of worker program is needed. Requirement to pay back taxes, and set them up to get on track to become legal citizens.

One thing is for certain. This issue can no longer be pushed to the back burner.

Over the last 3 years we have seen a growth in the Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Search Engine model. This was initially fashioned by Overture, but has quickly been followed by a whole host of Pay Per Clicks.

The concept is extremely simple. You bid on words that surfers who would be interested in your website’s content would use to search on. For example, if your website was about gardening…you may bid on the words “garden care” or “lawn care” etc. When someone searches on the words “garden care”, the search results are returned in the order of the bids placed; so a website with a 60 cents bid would rank higher than one for 55 cents and so on.

Obviously, you will want to make sensible bids that your business can sustain. The best way to know what is affordable is to look at your website stats of visitors against your sales. If your profit last month was $1,000 and you had 400 unique visitors your profit per visitor (PPV) would be $2.50. If you had 20000 unique visitors your PPV would drop to $0.50. This is a rule of thumb as not all visitors are equal - some visitors are more qualified than others and visitors from PPC Search Engines are often the most qualified around. these Pay Per Click tips will help you.

PPC Search Engines are the best valuable advertising currently available. If you write a good website and expert title and descriptions with your listings, qualifying your visitors is a relatively direct task. 1. Watch for Bidding Gaps
What’s the point in bidding 25 cents for position 1 when 12 cents will do? Not a lot is the answer, but I see it every day. In fact the worse gap I saw was $11 when $1.03 would do. Make sure the bid you make is sensible by closing bidding gaps. You can save a considerable amount of money by closing those bidding gaps. In fact this can save (or stretch) your budget by up to 70%.

2. Premium Listing…as easy as 1,2,3
PPC Search Engines often engage in alliances with “free” search engines so results are displayed across a “family” of search engines. As of writing this, Overture had numerous alliances, including with Alta Vista, Ask and Yahoo!. The catch is you need to show up in the top 3 on Overture to be displayed on other search engines. You only pay for clicks directly with the Pay Per Clicks you go with, so all the other clicks from Yahoo! or Alta Vista etc. are free. Consider it a bonus.

3. Increasing Your Return On Investment (”ROI”)
We have already said that writing relevant titles and descriptions will filter the qualified from the unqualified surfer. However, there is one other thing to consider. When searches are returned many surfer will instantly click the number one bid; it’s a habit I suppose. Often the number one bid is not relevant to their needs or they wish to compare two or more web sites. The result for the webmaster of the top ranked web site, is a high number of clicks and a lower ROI compared to position two and three. Positions two and three can be a fraction of the price of the most popular term. Provided you bid on a lot of the slightly less popular terms, you usually can get just as much traffic, and sometimes more, as if you bid on the leading term - and for a lot less money too.

4. Landing Pages
Think about the keywords you are bidding on and give the surfer what they want. Don’t just let them land on your home page. The surfer is less likely to get distracted when you give them what they want rather than leave them to their own devices. It you are promoting a particular product, make sure the surfer is taken straight to it. This is an important Pay Per Click help tip.

5. Don’t Delay
The sooner you start Pay Per Click advertising, the sooner you’ll start getting traffic. With most Pay Per Clicks, the bids are rising not falling. Again, with most Pay Per Clicks including Overture, when two or more bids tie, the first bidder is given priority. This is especially important if you plan on bidding on a lot of terms or when 3 or more bids are tied.
